OUR MISSION

Creating Relationships That Drive Results

Our mission is to create long-lasting relationships in an inclusive, inspiring and people-first environment for those interested in living a healthier life through professional training programs, attentive and caring coaches and complementary practices.

Our Story

Founded in June of 2022, Soma VT is the culmination of independent professionals working in a collaborative setting.  After COVID, our gym space featured several personal trainers working independently, establishing their own businesses in an effort to stay within the health and fitness field.  Soma VT created an opportunity to bring those trainers together while joining forces with Movement Matters, a local Physical Therapy practice.  From there, the sharing of information and combined effort has led to Soma’s growth as a health and fitness facility within South Burlington.

Our Values

Curiosity

We value growth and realize that what we’re doing is not the perfect way, it is only the best way we know today.  Our people embody curiosity within their work by consistently pursuing better ways to help our members.

Effort

Without effort, nothing happens.  Improving lives takes effort and our people embody effort within their work by going the extra mile to make our member experience better

 Trust

Without trust, relationships fail.  Trust shows up in everything we do at Soma VT, from our initial conversations and goal-setting to supporting each other through difficult times.  Establishing and maintaining trust is embodied by our people in the way that we approach our relationships.

Creating Relationships That Last

OUR FUTURE GOALS

Our future aspirations are simple, to continue to create and take care of the relationships we have with our membership, staff and community.  These relationships are what help us drive health and fitness results for our members, what allows staff to continue to grow and develop their careers and what allow our partners to find success in their missions. The better we maintain these relationships, the better we can serve our community.

  • Train Together - What Does It Mean?

While Soma VT started as a way to keep a gym open and has developed into something more, we came up with the tagline “Train Together” in the early days and it hasn’t changed. They had a point…
